QUANTUM OF SOLACE continues the high octane adventures of James Bond (DANIEL CRAIG) in CASINO ROYALE.

Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M (JUDI DENCH) interrogate Mr White (JESPER CHRISTENSEN) who reveals the organisation which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.

Forensic intelligence links an Mi6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille (OLGA KURYLENKO), a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene (MATHIEU AMALRIC), a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organisation.

On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world’s most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano (JOAQUIN COSIO). Using his associates in the organisation, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.

In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene’s sinister plan and stop his organisation.

THE 5TH SEOUL INTERNATIONAL MEDIA ART BIENNALE

The 5th Seoul International Media Art Biennale (Media_City Seoul 2008) will be held at the Seoul Museum of Art from September 12 to November 5 under the theme 'Turn and Widen.' While most media art exhibitions are held once, the Seoul International Media Art Biennale starting from 2000 and opening the 5th this year has become one of the remarkable Media Art Biennales in and outside the country serving as a stage for keeping the alive history of media art.

Particularly this 5th Biennale is based on the theme 'Turn and Widen,' paying attention to the aspect that the advent of media art and its fashion have derived new media into the field of art, and it has turned into a new form, and it caused the area of art experience to be changed and extended. Thus, this Biennale is aimed to find answers through a variety of exhibits to those fundamental, essential questions; What is media art? What is different from the conventional art? What changes have been made by that in the field of art? and what influences could come from now?
Based on this direction and critical mind above, the Biennale classifies the difference between traditional and media art in three points of view, and accordingly the exhibition is divided into three parts.
The first part, the field of light.
This part shows the changes of the state of art. Instead of the stage of using natural light and analyzing it, the changes by the advent of lights using the advanced technologies have revealed through artworks created by utilizing lights and by composing the environment through them such as neon-art, light kinetic, laser art, and hologram. It is represented how the images and effects of light presented by electromagnetic waves are expressed in the work and the changes they could draw.

The second part, the field of communication.
The second part focuses on the changes of the communication methods in work of art. As the traditional art was built on the concept of the observation or passive participation by spectators, interactive art has emerged in the field of media art that the spectators take an active part to modulate and complete the works. Also the effort to give a variety of multi-sided experiences to the spectators not only with the visual aspect, but also auditory and tactile senses has been made. Furthermore, virtual reality has been drawn into artworks which show the changes of the perception of reality treated through the artworks.
The third part, the field of time.
By the emergence of artworks using computer and video, there has been an extension of the boundary of art which used to be defined as spatial art. In addition, the works involving the concept of time have appeared. This part includes video arts and animations in attempts to unfold a story in time, artworks containing a motion using a new technology and those under the motive of the changing images with the flow of time.

무한도전의 이런 저런 '도전'이 재미있다.
이번에는 무려 '디자인' 이네.

6명이 두개의 팀으로 나뉘어서 서로 경쟁하는 거였는데 (이번주 방영분)
그중 '신석기' (팀장:전진, 팀원:유재석, 정준하) 의 작업
'한글 자모를 이용한 벤치와 가로등'

'노란 돌고래' (팀장:박명수, 팀원:정형돈, 노홍철)
'함께하는 벤치와 투명 쁘라스틱 가로등'

프로세스에 대한 부분, 아이디어 진행 부분등 학교시절도 생각나고, 매우 흥미로웠다.
그중 가장 체계적인 진행을 하려하던 정형돈이 자기 아이디어에 자기가 갇혀버리는 형국도 재밌었고.

여차저차하여 현장구매로 구입한 티켓. 난생처음 가본 상암월드컵경기장.
공연시작전에 경기장 너머로 들려오던 리허설 소리는 기대감을 증폭.
축구장이라 그런지 무대에서 정말 정말 먼 A석.
서태지 공연답지 않은 음향에 살짝 아쉬움. (축구장의 구조상 음이 모이지 않고 퍼짐)
전체적으로 좀 짧은 듯한 레파토리.
Take 1으로 시작. 무대 중앙의 화면이 반으로 열리면서 서태지 등장. 좀 멋짐.
역시 백미는 '시대유감'. 공연장 난리남.
'모아이'는 클래식으로 재편곡. 개인적으론 원곡의 '모아이'가 좋았음.
예상했던 대로 '영원'.
마지막은 '컴백홈'.
앵콜곡은 '난알아요'.

즐거웠다.

Hans Beck (b. 1929) is often called "The Father of Playmobil." Beck received training as a cabinetmaker but worked simultaneously on model airplanes, a product he pitched to the company geobra Brandstätter. The owner of the company, Horst Brandstätter, asked him to develop toy figures for children instead.
   Beck spent three years developing what became Playmobil. Beck conducted research that allowed him to develop a toy that would not be too complex but nevertheless flexible. Playmobil hands were capable of gripping and holding objects. The toy, at 7.5 cm, would also fit in a child's hand and its facial design would be based on children's drawings (large head, big smile, no nose). "I would put the little figures in their hands without saying anything about what they were," Beck remarked. "They accepted them right away....They invented little scenarios for them. They never grew tired of playing with them."[1]. Earlier figures had arms of one piece and another piece for the legs. Later sets allow hand rotation.
   The 1973 oil crisis made it possible for Playmobil to be considered a viable product. Rising oil prices imposed on Geobra Brandstätter, for whom Beck worked as Head of Development, demanded that the company turn to products that required less solid plastic material (during the 1960s, the company had been producing hoola-hoops and large plastic toys).
   In 1974, the company put the series on show in its display rooms. Initial visitors were reluctant to accept the toy. Nevertheless, the toy was shown at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg, which was taking place that same year. The toy remained popular with children. A Dutch firm subsequently agreed to buy a whole year's production.
   Playmobil began to be sold worldwide in 1975.
   Playmobil pop-up books, in which buildings and settings corresponded to the height of actual Playmobil figures, were sold for a time, as well as a series of comic books, coloring books, and puzzles.
   Playmobil has been a successful toy line for more than 25 years and they have been a major competitor to Lego toys. Examples of directly competing toys in both their product line are not hard to find. Within the limitations of the Playmobil toy world, the Playmobil toys are usually realistic, and present accurate representations of arms, armor, costumes, and tools from a recognizable time period. Especially notable for a fine attention to detail are the modern construction and city life toys (cars, cranes, fire-engines, trains, boats, etc.).
   Playmobil toys are specifically aimed at children from the ages of six to twelve. The company believes that older children tend not to play with these types of toys and so it has resisted creating toys from other, less well known, historical time periods. However, many adults own or collect Playmobil and make movies with the toys.
